McLagan
got his start in early rock’s Small Faces which
blossomed into the hard-rocking, genre-defining, heart
of Rock n Roll, The Faces. Ian McLagan went on
to work with a pantheon of performers including The
Stones, Springsteen, Dylan, Raitt, Etheridge, and The
Stray Cats. McLagan found
time in all that busyness to record solo efforts beginning
with 1979’s excellent Troublemaker. Which
brings us to the present and his new album, titled Spiritual
Boy which
is a tribute to his friend and band mate Ronnie Lane ,
with his assembled Bump Band. On guitar "Scrappy"
Jud Newcomb,
bass Mark Andes and
drums Don Harvey.
