Star Kids Yoga is establishing itself as a thrilling
way to introduce a large audience to the fun and
benefits of "yoga for little bodies, minds and
hearts". Joy Linam has developed a method in the
madness of a music festival to create tranquility and
focus as the children 'become' butterflies, cats,
trees and learn the Sun Dance in the colorful setting
she inspires. She introduces Austin kids to the
mission of Star Kids Yoga, to show children how much
fun exercise can be. Participants reap from the
benefits of yoga, including memory and focus,
balance, coordination and calm. Joy has renamed and
redesigned traditional yoga postures especially with
children in mind. Her program has grown from a weekly
after-school class at a local Montessori school to 7
classes a week at 4 locations! Joy is now in her 3rd
year at the prestigious Austin City Limits Music
Festival and other demonstration play-classes keep
popping up. The future looks bright for Star Kids from
the feedback we receive from debut festivals. We would
love to bring this unique, heart-filled experience to
you at your location. Joy is fully insured and
certified. Star Kids Yoga will bring mats, music and
magic to your event.
