CURRENTLY AVAILABLE AND CURRENT TOUR DATES

"Somewhere, there is probably someone who lived in England in 1960 who turned down a chance to go to The Cavern Club because he had never heard of the band. "The band" in question was, of course, The Beatles. They went on to have a bit of success in the music business; enough success that the guy who didn't want to go see them play because he had never heard of them is still kicking himself black-and-blue 40 years later. So when you're trying to decide whether or not you want to drag yourself out to see some unknown play....just remind yourself that every musician was once an unknown, and that every musician who sells out arenas for hundreds of dollars per ticket once played somewhere for under ten bucks. And someone who paid hundreds of dollars to sit in the last row of an arena once turned down the chance to sit on the first row of a small venue for next to nothing. Don't be this person!" --Bailey Jones from the Sundilla Acoustic Concert Series

AMY COOK
www.amycook.com

Alt-folk singer-songwriter tells stories refracted through the panoramic scope of the heavens. Her songs have been featured on Dawson's Creek, Laguna Beach, and Veronica Mars. Cook grew weary of the industry grind in 2005 and packed up for Austin. Along the way she took a timeout in Marfa and met Leisha Hailey of Showtime’s acclaimed original series The L Word. The actress and the songwriter made fast friends; Hailey not only got Cook her best show placement of all (“The one on The L Word is my favorite because [Leisha’s character] was doing a radio show and she said, ‘That was Amy Cook on Marfa Records,’ which was better than being background music at a party somewhere,”) but encouraged her to write The Bunkhouse Recordings (slated for re-release this year with bonus live tracks), a full-length so intimate that Cook and her acoustic are backed by chirping crickets and a restless dog. In 2007, Amy has been invited to play Austin City Limits music festival as well as Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans.

ANDREW COLLBERG
www.andrewcollberg.com

Andrew Collberg caught the eye of local promoters and he began performing at popular Tucson clubs and festivals. High praise from music critics comparing him to the likes of Bob Dylan and the Beatles led to his 2006 Tucson Area Music Award for "Best New Artist." Harp magazine's Robert Baird wrote, "Just when you thought a generation had been lost to the PlayStation and Xbox, along comes a teenage prodigy like Andrew Collberg to emphatically say otherwise. At 19, his bag is folk rock, much of it Beatles-influenced, tuneful and showing immense promise."
He will tour this spring with Billy Harvey.

BILLY HARVEY
www.billharveymusic.com

Best Rock Song- International Songwriter Competition winner! says the likes of Tom Waits, Brian Wilson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Robert Smith (The Cure), Amy Ray (Indigo Girls) Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), Frank Black (Pixies) Macy Gray, Mark Chesnutt, Rosanne Cash, John Mayall, Charlie Musselwhite, Medeski Martin and Wood, Cassandra Wilson. Billy Harvey's life has been filled with music. He's been Bob Schneider's long time lead guitar player, taped his voice a lot, acted in many videos and put out five indie records. Billy Harvey's new release "Grow Garden Grow" is a delightful journey into the mind and processes of a songwriter. All the songs off of this double cd were born out of a songwriting game Harvey plays with friends Bob Schneider, Steve Poltz, Jason Mraz and Matt The Electrician. You will be utterly compelled as the cd reveals gem after gem of flawed yet flawless renderings of the human condition.

GREY DeLISLE
www.greydelisle.com

You may be familiar with De Lisle's deceptively childlike whisper; she does voices for TV cartoons. But the traditionalist singer-songwriter packs a powerful, womanly ache into this collection of ballads and lullabies built, for the most part, around the topic of severe separation anxiety. To evoke that 1800s sound, Autoharp and music box fit prominently into the acoustic, home-recorded mix. Ethereal and weighty all at once.  -- Bob Strauss L.A. Daily News. . Grey is currently busy in the studio recording for John Carter Cash and a tribute to June!! for Dualtone and with her voice over work. We expect her to be able to tour again sometime next year. Please email us your requests and ideas at mail@rajiworld.com

THE MOTHER TRUCKERS
www.themothertruckers.com

"A Mothertruckin', Great Band! Teal and Josh are not only GREAT singers, but also write some of the cleverest and original songs around. I've played their music for musician friends of mine here in Texas, including Willie Nelson, and they all agree: The Mother Truckers are a great, original and fun band!" - Ray Benson, Austin TX

“It’s a wonderful feeling you get inside when you see a band REALLY connect with an audience and you just KNOW that it may be the last time you see them in a small room! THE MOTHER TRUCKERS hadn’t played in LA for a couple of years and not only did they pack the house, but they put on one of the best shows I’ve seen. Between their songs, Josh’s guitar playing and Teal’s vocals – not to mention charisma  –   they are simply undeniable!  When can we have them back??!!” -Shilah Morrow, President, Sin City Music

MURRY HAMMOND

His day job is as an Old 97, a position he's held since he and longtime musical partner Rhett Miller formed the band in 1993. He tends to push the chug of the old train songs, the soul of old-time and spirituals, the high-lonesome wail of mountain music, and the pure tuneful fun of singing cowboy music in his song writing. Alternating between guitars and a harmonium pump-organ, some spoken word and some instrumentals, Murry's first recording away from the 97s is due April, 1, 2008.

NAKIA & His Southern Cousins
www.nakia.net

Nothing about Nakia is as it seems. Raised in the Appalachian foothills of Alabama, Nakia grew up listening to Southern Gospel and Country music with his parents while rocking out to 80's pop on his "jambox" with his big Sister. Nakia bounced around the globe a bit and finally landed in Austin, TX where he has firmly planted his musical roots. He quickly made a name (albeit not his own) for himself as the infamous "Vic Odin" of Miles Zuniga's band, The Small Stars. Although Nakia still performs as Vic, in the Spring of 2006 he chose to pursue his solo career with full force and is currently recording his debut release at "World Headquarters Studios" at Willie Nelson's ranch in Austin. Nakia is also a very talented actor and has appeared in several theatrical productions, commercials, and independent films. Full band, Nakia with his Southern Cousins!
