WINTER
2003
Winter
is exciting here at RajiWorld because it reminds us of our second
favorite thing to do (after live music of course) - eating!! We
realize how lucky we are at this time of year to enjoy the delights
of the season and so would really love to help out those that
are in need. We are sponsoring a Food & Fund Drive with the
Capital Area Food Bank of Texas, an organization
that receives and distributes food and grocery products to people
in need throughout Central Texas. Your food and monetary donations
will help many Food Bank programs such as Kids Café which
provides a hearty evening meal three times a week to more than
1,300 children living in low-income neighborhoods in Austin; Fresh
Food For Families which distributes fresh fruits and veggies to
families in need; and others amazing programs for the community.
Our Food & Fund drive will be open until December 31st –
If you would like to make a donation please follow this link donate

Bundle
up and head on out for a wonderful night of extremely talented
songwriters. We caught them at the Texas Book Festival.

OCTOBER
2003
October
is our favorite month here at RajiWorld. With the gorgeous weather
and excitement of Halloween in the air we also have a new addition
to the office and to the roster! Please help us welcome Nanette
Scalzo to the office, I know you will enjoy working
with her as much as I do.
We
hope you will follow us to Folk Alliance in San Diego this coming
February so you will get a sneak peak at Berkley
Hart who we feel are going to make an important impact on
live music with their warm heartfelt beach beat.
SEPTEMBER
2003
If you attended the ACL Festival
with your kids you are already in the know of why we are thrilled
to announce the addition of The
Jellydots

AUGUST
2003
This
last bit of August is filled with magic
as RajiWorld picks up booking for one of
our all time favorite’s. We are very very
proud to announce the addition of Jon Dee Graham.
JULY
2003
It
has been a quick June and July, We were mesmerized by Patrice
Pike at The High
Sierra Music Festival, they say the addition of Patrice Pike
and the Blackbox Rebellion to the scene is a wonderful thing.
“Hailing from Austin, Texas, Patrice absolutely rocks, plain
and simple. You might remember Patrice from such bands as Sister
Seven (which used to be Little Sister). She is now rocking with
the Blackbox Rebellion which plays a little bit of everything.
Her vocal abilities are hard to deny as she squeals, scats, and
soars with ease. "People ask me, 'What kind of music do you
play?' And I say, 'I don't know, it's just music!'" Patrice
told intrigued listeners at her Vaudeville Tent set. "High
Sierra should have a T-shirt that says, 'It's all just music!'"
Patrice won some new fans that day.”
I
was lucky enough to travel from Northern CA to Montana up to Calgary
to watch the Friends of Dean Martinez. At the Calgary
Folkfest. The lineup was diverse enough to cover artists like
Elvis Costello, Ani DiFranco, Ricky Skaggs, Daniel Lanois and
Blue Rodeo but what actually happened on stage crossed even bigger
boundaries. FODM were the backup band in one afternoon for folksy
jazz diva Jane Siberry and multi faceted hip-hop spoken word master
Buck 65.
We
wish all of our artists and fans some great memories at shows
like The Park City Art’s Festival, Cactus
Cafe, Vermont Festival of the Arts, The Arc Otsego Art’s
Festival, Mc
Cabes, Fez
, Sweetwater,
and Bumbershoot.
Stay
tuned for September which will find Roggie and her client Ian
Moore taking part in the Southwestern
Regional Folk Alliance Conference, More on this soon as well
as a recap of Ian’s performance at Kerrville’s
Wine and Music Festival and pictures and press of the big
Austin City
Limits Festival (year two) which will feature RajiWorld clients
Beaver Nelson, Ian Moore and Patrice Pike as well as REM, Steve
Winwood ( to include Randall Bramblett is his lineup) Ben Harper,
Al Green, String Cheese, Bright Eyes, Lucinda....:).
MAY
2003
 We
love May flowers and Cinco de Mayo celebrations and the start
of festival season. We hope to see you celebrating amidst the
wildflowers in Kerrville
at this years festival as The Resentments join in the fun. You
can buy a ticket for that show here.
The Resentments play on Day 4 of the festival, Sunday, May 25.
We
are thrilled to announce the debut release from longtime Beaver
Nelson guitarist and Resentment Jud Newcomb, on which he is courageously
supported by his friends Bruce Hughes (Resentments, Bob Schneider)
on bass and Conrad Choucroun (Damnations, Banana Blender Surprise)
on drums. Turbinado
features 12 original songs that run the gamut from true love to
insanity in the age of possibility.
Please
take a moment to look at our new and improved Currently
Available page. We got so many compliments on our email updates
that we decided to put it up on the site each week as well. If
you are not currently getting the update and would like to or
know of a friend who would like to please sign up using this
