MY STORY

my live music love story

🎸 On the Road with RajiWorld

I’m forever on the Road — and I love it.
My agency, RajiWorld, has worked with artists I’ve discovered, resurrected, swooned over, and most importantly: shared with fans.
Go see any of these great acts if you ever have the chance — you’ll thank me.
(And remember, this is rock and roll — some bands have broken up, some are still rocking, and others have traveled heavenward.)

🌵 Tucson Roots & Touring Dreams

I began in Tucson in the late 1980s as a buyer for SUAB at the University of Arizona, leading booking for Eat to The Beat (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction, Billy Idol) and Spring Fling (Jellyfish, Redd Kross, Posies, Paladins).
I also promoted shows at Counter Club and Club Congress (including the first El Vez show in Tucson), served as Music Director at KAMP Student Radio, and even made early bookings for Green On Red and Giant Sand — all while studying Chemistry in a lab coat with my Motorola brick phone in it’s pocket;)

RajiWorld was named in 1991 in tribute to Raji’s — a beloved Hollywood nightclub that hosted legends like Guns N’ Roses, Jane’s Addiction, Nirvana, Beck, Hole, Los Lobos, and so many others.
That smoky, sweaty, sacred space lives on in the soul of my agency.

💫 The First Artist (and the First Leap)

My first client was Rosie Flores. After a Tucson gig gone wrong (a bar owner never paid us), I gave her my own savings to remedy the noght.  She later asked if I would be her agent. That yes led to working with Duane Jarvis, Buddy Miller, and a world of artists through referral and trust. I am deeply grateful.

🎤 From L.A. to Austin: Roots, Rock, and Revival

In 1992 I moved to Los Angeles, working with Concrete Blonde and diving headfirst into artist booking.
My early roster centered around Americana long before it had a name: Howe Gelb, Friends of Dean Martinez, Chuck Prophet, Chris Cacavas, Rufus Wainwright, Andy Prieboy,  The Ringling Sisters,  Honk if yer Horny, Jim White,  The Lonesome Strangers, Russell Scott, Tarnation, and more.

🎶 Artists Booked & Represented by RajiWorld

I’m a lifelong fan of discovering, resurrecting, and celebrating artists I love — and I’m honored to have shared them with fans around the world.

From Los Angeles to Austin and beyond, RajiWorld has booked and supported dozens of trailblazing musicians over the decades. Below is a snapshot of artists I’ve proudly worked with, including those who trusted me to launch, support, or revive their careers:

In 1994, I relocated to Austin to work with Joe Ely — in the studio, on tour, and with his musical Chippy at Lincoln Center and beyond.
That year of touring introduced me to venues, press, and promoters who would shape my next chapters. RajiWorld has since operated from Tucson, L.A., and Austin — all sacred spaces in my story.
